On Sobranetska street in Uzhgorod, a hotel was burning

Yesterday at 14:48, the rescue service received a report of a fire in one of the hotel rooms located on Sobranetska street in Uzhgorod.

Crews of the fire-fighters of the 14th and 15th state fire and rescue units were sent to the extinguish the fire. In total, 5 units of main and special equipment and 17 personnel members were employed.

The fire was detected by a lodger of the hotel who took a fire extinguisher and entered the room.

Using the fire extinguisher, the man put out the smoldering mattress before the arrival of the firemen. Then, he called other lodgers for help and they took it out to the street.

Thanks to the timely measures taken, they managed to prevent the spread of fire on the other things in the hotel room and save a significant part of the property.

The material damage and the cause of the fire are being established.

Nobody was killed or injured in this accident.
