On Saturday, the “City of Happy Children” will be built in Uzhgorod (Announcement)

On June 10, Saturday, a unique for Uzhgorod event – the Forum and Festival "City of Happy Children" will be held in the Pidzamkovy park.

Why is it unique? Because there has never been such an event in our city, or, in fact, in our region. Over 30 locations and more than 70 activities. More than 1000 visitors are expected.

"We decided to organize this festival to draw the attention of adults to the needs of children (and usually those are a little time and attention), to strengthen family ties, to demonstrate opportunities for quality recreation and development of children. And also to show that festivals for children can be free of smoke, beer, barbecue, but with an interesting creative, entertaining, and meaningful content," – the organizer, member of the board of the NGO "Happy Children" Lyudmila Syuzeva said.

"Our event has a significant social component. First, money for the treatment of Katrusia Lisovets will be raised at the location "Mother’s Cafe" (women bake cakes, cookies, make lemonade, fruit drinks). All proceeds will be donated to the girl. Similarly, money for the girl will be raised through the sale of lottery tickets. Secondly, kids with disabilities will take part in the event, and will play, participate in relay races and other activities together with healthy children", – the head of the organization Olga Pavlova explained.

The festival program is very eventful. It includes, among other things:

– activities, which involve both parents and children, interactive games, sports and intellectual quest, racing, relay;

– demonstrations involving children (aikido, horting, strongmen, energizer, zumba, exercises for mothers with children, and children’s yoga, etc.). That is children will not just be watching, but will also try different types of activities themselves;

– art therapy (sand and painting);

– workshops (making of dumplings, pottery, soap, jewelry and felt toys, etc.);

– a literary location, story writing with children, the presentation of the project "Good Book";

– interactive presentations of children’s centers and camps;

– the first in Transcarpathia Battle of Entertainers;

– setting of children’s record in slime making;

– an area for nursing, Open University (lectures and workshops);

– exhibition of children’s pictures;

– photozones;

– fashion show;

– robotics classes;

– interactive English language location with a charming volunteer of the "Peace Corps" Jay;

– knot making at the location from representatives of Transcarpathian rescuers;

– yard sale;

– dancing with soap bubbles and more.
