On New Year’s night, the police received 147 reports

From midnight to 8 am on January 1, the police received 147 reports from citizens, 128 of which were registered in the unified register. Only 57 of them have signs of crime.

Since the beginning of the New Year, the police have already solved a car hijacking in the Vynogradiv district. Law enforcers found out that a 32-year-old resident of the village of Vylok stole a "VAZ-21061" from a fellow villager. The car was seized and taken to the impound lot. The investigation continues.

In addition, on New Year’s night, the police checked two restaurants in Uzhgorod after the report of bomb threat. The investigative team, together with explosive experts and other services, responded to the applicant’s report and inspected the premises of these institutions. Information on the presence of explosives was not confirmed. The police are establishing all the circumstances of a false alert.

The police also caught seven drunk drivers. Four of them were stopped in Uzhgorod and Mukachevo, three – in Khust and Vynogradiv districts.
