On Monday, January 28th, all schools in Uzhgorod, Transcarpathian region, will be closed for quarantine due to an increase in the incidence of influenza and ARVI. This was reported by the press service of Uzhgorod City Council.
In particular, over the last week thirty seven cases of ARVI were were registered in Uzhgorod, which is 32.6% higher than that in the previous week. 619 cases (59.7%) are children under the age of 17. Children also make up the vast majority of the hospitalized persons.
The city council stressed that the classes will resume immediately after the stabilization of the epidemic situation.
