On May 1, gas for households will rise by 50%

The increase in gas tariffs for households, starting from May 1, will be 50%, and for district heating companies – starting from July 1, by 40%.

This was announced at a press conference by the director of the Economic Planning and Financial Calculations Department of the "Naftogaz Ukraine" Yuriy Kolbushin, the UNIAN reported.

"The first increase in gas tariffs will be on May 1, and for district heating companies – on July 1… the tariff for district heating companies will increase by 40% and for household – by 50%" – Kolbushin said.

He said the final figures of tariff increase would be reflected in the government decree.

"The document will be published, there will be the schedule of price increases by 2018, and there may be changes in the final revision," – he said.
