Prefectures of Maramures county, Romania, in cooperation with city halls of Maramures villages, the open-air museum in Siget and the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration organize the Day of Romania-Ukraine Neighbourliness on July 24. This was informed on the site of Maramures prefecture.
The purpose of the event is the image of Maramures – the mountainous region that is attractive and comfortable for tourists – and good neighborly partnership between the villages on the right and left banks of the Tisa for close cross-border cooperation.
The holiday will begin at 11.00, on the historic bridge in Solotvyno where the official delegation of Transcarpathia will be met with bread and salt. The event will be held in the Museum of the Village – Skansen.
It will be a holiday of Maramures villages with an intresting program, traditional dishes, fair of craftsmen who will show their skills in blacksmithing, knitting and painting.
With the support of the Order of Architects of Romania, an exhibition of architectural projects and sketches of historical and modern construction will be opened. With the assistance of Baia Mare Branch of the Union of Artists of Romania, a master class in painting for children from the village of Solotvyno in Transcarpattian region will be held in the museum.
