On the eve of St. Basil’s Day, member of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine Vasyl Shkirya presented his book. The fantasy novel with a rather mystical title "Sarkany" is the 18th book of the author. In the book, he artfully combines fantasy and mundanity.
The presentation was attended by friends and fellow writers, and those, who read the author’s fairy tales for themselves and their children. The book was presented in a cozy atmosphere, summing up the previous year and planning the coming one.
As for the situation in the literary community, the chairman of the Transcarpathian organization of the National Union of Writers of Ukraine Vasyl Husti said: "The previous year was successful. 36 books by Transcarpathian writers were published. Oleksandr Havrosh can boast three new publications and two reprints. Dmytro Keshelya and Vasyl Kukhta also released new books. I personally published three new books. Other authors did well too. This year, I am sure, even more books will be written and published."
