The touristy ‘Retrobike’ route should become the highlight of this year’s tourist season in Uzhgorod. The cycling excursions under the slogan ‘Old town in a new way’ are planned to be launched in a month. The Head of the Tourism Department of UzhNU Fedir Shandor said it to Zaholovok.com.ua.
‘Uzhgorod is an interesting town where the history traces of Ukraine, Hungary, Czech, Austria, Slovakia Romania and Russian are tangible – said scientist, – bicycle excursion is a great opportunity to find out the secrets that narrow street and old building are hiding from us, and meet the modern visiting cards of Uzhgorod. Such a route is an ecological, economical and convenient’.
It is planned that the cycle excursion will take 4 hours. You can choose 4 languages: Ukrainian, Russian, Slovak and Hungarian. Cyclists will visit Shandor Petefi and Theatre Square, Philharmonic, Cathedral, the Czech area, Uzhgorod castle and other places of interests during the excursion.
Organizers will provide participants with bikes, helmets and ropes. Also they will treat with coffee. Currently they buy harnesses and form a group of leading tour guides.
