On June 2, 2012, on Saturday, a tournament in mini-football in the village of Kamyanytsya (near Camelot Hotel) will take place at 10:00 a.m. Its organizer is a youth sports organization ZSUV. This is a charity tournament, all money raised by the competition participants will be given to an orphanage. These funds will be spent on both sweets for children and sports equipment for the school. Then the children will be given a lecture on healthy lifestyles and there will be held competitions in various sports (volleyball, basketball, football).
This event is aimed at the dissemination of ideas of healthy lifestyles in order to restore the spirit of the team competition, self-organization and participation in various sporting events both on the streets of Ukrainian cities and in institutions for children, because according to statistics, Ukraine takes the second place in the world for children’s alcohol consuming and tobacco smoking. Annually more than 400 thousand Ukrainians die because of alcohol or tobacco. So we want this event to draw attention of the authorities of the necessity to carry out sports activities among young people, and especially in orphanages and boarding schools, to help these institutions with new sporting equipment, uniforms, to allocate resources so that children can take part in various regional competitions.
12 youth football teams of social and political organizations and simply random young people (it’s about 80 participants) have already registered for the tournament.
