On June 14, the "Olympic Day" will be held in Uzhgorod, in the territory of the Bozdosh park (in Kyiv and some regional centers of Ukraine, this sport holiday took place last weekend). Some top athletes will be guests of the festival representing all the Olympic sports. This how this holiday is celebrated in Kyiv. The aim of the Olympic Day is the promotion of sports, healthy lifestyle, sports of highest achievements", – Anatoliy Herey, Uzhgorod fencer who will participate in the Olympic Games in Brazil (in August) says.
The program of the "Olympic Day in Uzhgorod" will include demonstrations of Olympic sports, running competitions in different age groups (from preschool to veterans), arm-wrestling, tennis, checkers, chess competitions, bike races and sports entertainment. The sport event starts at 11.00 in the Bozdosh park.
