The coordination meeting of the Uzhgorod Mutual Assistance Initiative Group took place on Wednesday, March 18. The meeting was attended by: Maria Rushchak – Regional Representative of the Heart to Heart Foundation, Anna Melaganich – volunteer of UzhNU, Irina Mykulyn – NGO "Aura Akademika", Petro Renzhin – volunteer, Vladislav Delegan – volunteer.
The initiator of the movement, Oleksandr Bilak, noted that within one day since the announcement of the initiative on social networks, a large number of volunteers and entrepreneursers had stated their willingness to help:
“Currently, we have divided the city into several sectors, assigned coordinators and started to form a mutual assistance fund.
Another idea we want to implement right now is sewing protective reusable masks. We are looking for entrepreneurs who are engaged in light industry, sewing. Speak up! We need to provide as many people as possible with means of personal protectiion.
We already have information about those who really need help based on the data provided by the Center for Social Services and the Department of Labor and Social Welfare. But we urge anyone who feels they can’t handle it on their own to contact us!
We are stronger together!”
