June 7, at the "Uzhgorod" gallery, the third solo exhibition of well-known in Transcarpathia artist and musician Oleg Goral, whose life was cut short at the age of 66, opened. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the artist, his wife, Mrs. Olena together with the "Publishing house of Oleksandr Harkusha" prepared a catalog of his works – the first complete presentation of the artist’s work, which was presented at the opening.
Although Oleg Horal was not born in Transcarpathia, his life was long associated with Uzhgorod. For many years he earned by playing various musical instruments in the "Uzhgorod" cafe, and then in the restaurants of "Verhovyna" and "Skala". In the meantime, he was also fond of fine art. Once he admitted that he had been drawing since his childhood years, but had realized himself as an artist only in the army. He had no professional training, but he was respected as a musician and artist. His favorite genres in the visual arts were portraits and landscapes, and his creative credo was realism. The exhibition shows pictures of different years, both early and the last years of life.
Known in Transcarpathia and beyond artist Igor Paneyko accurately described his friend: "Oleg was a genius who was born to be a genius."
