Officials are trying to resolve the issue of landfill in Vynogrodiv

Transcarpathian Regional Council Chairman Ivan Baloha appealed to Vynogradiv mayor Zoltan Bochkay regarding the situation with the permission for using the city landfill to dump waste from settlements of Vynogradiv district.

"By your order, the decision of the 27th session of the city council of the sixth convocation dd. September 4, 2014 №1003 "On consideration of the issue of the city landfill" was suspended. In order to relieve social tension in the city and the district and taking into account previously reached agreements to resolve the crisis, related to the landfill, I ask you to solve the issue positively", – the head of the regional council asked the mayor of Vynogradiv.

Recall that on September 4th, the session of Vynogradiv City Council granted temporary permission to take out the garbage from the ditrict to the city landfill while the land for a new landfill is being explored. However, the Mayor of Vynogradiv Stepan Bochkay, on September 8, suspended the decision of the session. Tomorrow, there will be the session of Vynogradiv City Council, where this matter is to be considered.
