On May 17, at 11:30, Transcarpathian rescuers received a report of a fire on Repin street in the city of Khust. A two-storied building with an attic belonging to a local businessman was burning.
Firefighters of the 10th state fire and rescue unit of the city of Khust were sent to eliminate the fire. Upon the arrival of the first fire crews, it turned out that about 300 square meters of the roof and the ceiling were on fire. Due to tight space and the probability of the fire spreading to the adjacent buildings, the rescuers decided to engage additional forces from the village of Vyshkovo and the city of Vynogradiv. In total, 5 units of equipment and 20 rescuers were engaged.
At 12:23, the fire was contained on the area of 300 sq.m., the elimination lasted until 14:25.
No one was killed or injured in the fire. The material damage caused and the cause of the fire are being established.
