Officially: the Military Commissar of Irshava and Vynogradiv Joint District Military Commissariat was caught on bribe

Uzhgorod garrison military prosecutor’s office together with officers of the Security Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region detained the Military Commissar of the Joint District Military Commissariat while obtaining undue advantage

Yesterday, February 9, officers of the Uzhgorod garrison military prosecutor’s office together with officers of the Anti-Organized Crime Department of the Security Service of Ukraine Office in Transcarpathian region detained the Military Commissar of Irshava and Vynogradiv Joint District Military Commissariat while receiving undue advantage in the amount of 500 U.S. dollars for assistance in evading conscription during mobilization.

The fact of extortion undue advantage by the Military Commissar of the Joint District Military Commissariat was registered in the Unified register of pre-trial investigations.

The Military Commissar was notified of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and was detained according to Art. 208 of the CPC of Ukraine.

The exhibits in the said criminal proceeding were seized and examined.

On the day of registration the criminal proceeding was taken over by the investigator of the Uzhgorod garrison military prosecutor’s office.

The procedural control in the criminal proceeding is assigned to the senior prosecutor of the military prosecutor’s office and the prosecutor of Uzhgorod garrison military prosecutor’s office.

 The pretrial investigation continues.
