Today, representatives of the Uzhgorod City Council, along with journalists, inspected the work being parformed as part of the repair on Peremoha street (from Vyacheslav Chornovil street to the entrance to the "Velmart" supermarket), the press service of the City Council informs.
On Friday, employees of the technical supervision division of the Municipal Economy Department forbade the contractor Olexandria-Capital LLC to carry out asphalting from the intersection with Chornovil street to the entrance to the former dairy factory near the shopping center "Velmart", because the substrate of the roadway was not prepared. However, despite this, the contractor continued the works. Today, the work site on Peremoha Street was inspected by a commission, which drew up a relevant report. The commission came to the conclusion that the asphalt and concrete coating on the stretch from the building number 189 to the entrance to the former dairy factory had been laid on a moist and unprepared substrate, that this asphalt and concrete coating was to be replaced in full.
The Deputy Mayor of Uzhgorod, Vasyl Homonay, who came to Peremoha street together with journalists, stressed that the contractor had been repeatedly notified on the found deficiencies. "If the complaints of the City Council are not taken into account and the contractor does not eliminate the deficiencies, the City Council will not sign the job completion reports," – Vasyl Homonay said.
