Octopus, crab and Mermaid are in Uzhgorod (PHOTOS)

In Uzhgorod on the square in front of the regional philharmonic society there is the composition presented to Uzhgorod by the Hungarian city of Debrecen on the occasion of the Independence Day. This was done with the support of the Consulate General of Hungary in Uzhgorod. The length of the composition is 8 meters, width – 3.5, height – 4.5 meters. The flower arrangement depicts characters of the cartoon "The Little Mermaid" and marine life. The platform on wheels was delivered from the Hungarian Debrecen, where the annual flower carnival took place. Already in Uzhgorod, after six hours on the road, some elements were updated with fresh flowers.

A student of Debrecen Orshoya Vykon, who takes care of the arrangement, said that she has been participating in the flower carnival in Debrecen for the seventh consecutive year. "The making of such arrangement takes several weeks, at least six. We use both dried and fresh flowers. The latter, of course, should be changed frequently. We use special bricks that absorb and retain water, so the flowers live longer. It’s hard to say how many flowers was used for this arrangement, but the price of it is several million Hungarian forints."

After a little straightening, the floral arrangement will be carried to Teatralna Square. Here, the celebrations involving Hungarian and Transcarpathian artists will begin at 16 o’clock. And the floral arrangement will stay in Uzhgorod by the end of this week.
