The city and district military commissariats of the region received the order to notify reservists of the first line operational reserve. It will be for refinement of data and medical examination.
– We do not want to sow panic among the people, so we are informing about our actions in advance – the acting military commissar of the region, Colonel Petro Marko said. – We must have information about how much reservists we have in order to maintain the fighting capacity of the army. Because the population traffic in Transcarpathia is very active – people often go abroad, return, and sometimes there is no information about their whereabouts.
In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are now conducting planned training, which involve reservists from different regions of Ukraine. Some of the notified Transcarpathians that have combat experience and skills will also take part in this training. The main task of the military reserve is to increase and maintain fughting capacity of citizens to perform tasks on protection of state at professional level.
It should be noted that since the beginning of the year, about 45 thousand Ukrainians have signed contracts for military service, this was pointed out by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in his speech during the parade on the Independence Day of Ukraine. This enabled them to demobilize the fourth and fifth wave of mobilization and that is why currently there is no need for the seventh wave.
