All appeals for assistance in the repair of the road to the authorities of Irshava district have been fruitless, so the residents of the village of Imstychevo decided to repair the road by themselves.
According to a resident of Imstychevo, Yaroslav Zeykan, the villagers have paved more than half of the 140-meter-long road.
All the money, which is more than UAH 200 thousand raised by people, was spent on the purchase of materials. Local residents are paving the road.
Residents of the village say that Imstychevo is in financial distress. The village budget for this year is just over UAH 300 thousand, which is hardly enough for the maintenance of the village council.
Due to Imstychevo’s financial difficulties, the village has been without the mayor for a year, and the village council secretary is the acting mayor.
The active members of the community, after the completion of the work, intend to appeal to the RSA with the request to repair another part of the road leading to the village.
