Not coronavirus, but also a problem: in Transcarpathia, people are burning grass

With the advent of spring, fires have started to occur in ecosystems of Transcarpathia.

Rescuers from the State Emergencies Service Office of Transcarpathia have released an upsetting information yesterday: 15 cases of grass burning were recorded in the region the day before yesterday.

The fires were recorded in Uzhgorod, Mukachevo, Irshava, Rakhiv, Vynogradiv, Svalyava and other districts of the region.

The rescuers added that with further warming, the number of such cases will only increase. So rescuers do not get tired of calling on citizens to be responsible about the environment.

"In the forests and parks, campfires should be made only in designated areas, they must never be left unattended and must be extinguished before returning home. If you make fire in your own yard for a picnic, do it at least 15 meters away from buildings and structures. And of course, do not burn leaves and dry grass on your own land or open territories," – rescuers call.
