No queues on the Transcarpathian checkpoints – but there are several kilometer long lines of trucks

All checkpoints in the area of ​​the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine are working normally, unlike last week, when owners of cars with foreign registration blocked access roads to the border, the press service of the administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine informs.

In addition, there are no queues at the checkpoints, and the traffic flow across the border with the countries of the European Union has decreased.

It should be noted that after the entry into force of the legislative rules on the legalization of European vehicles imported with violation of the customs and tax legislation, the passenger traffic on the western border has dropped by 5%, and vehicular traffic – by almost 15%. First of all, this is due to a decrease in the number of citizens who previously were going abroad every five days by cars with a foreign registration.  

However, at the checkpoint "Tisa" there is a several kilometer long line of trucks

According to customs officials, this situation is observed at the beginning of almost every week. It is the end of the year soon, contracts are being closed. The queue remains on the Ukrainian side on Monday and Tuesday, as they go for the goods, and on Friday and Saturday, on the Hungarian side, when trucks return.
