Night fire in Irshava: a wooden church burned down (PHOTOS)

Investigators from the Irshava Police Department are investigating the fire in St. Basil’s Cathedral in the district center. There were no casualties due to the fire 
This was reported by the Communication department of the Transcarpathian regional police.
“Today, on February 2, at 01:12, the police received a report of a fire in the church on Naberezhna Street in Irshava,” – the report reads.
The church was made of wood. There were no casualties due to the fire.
“The fire destroyed the building almost completely. According to preliminary data, one of the cause of the fire in the temple was a malfunction in the wiring", – the report reads.
Investigators are now investigating the fire.
5 units of equipment and 25 rescuers from the fire and rescue units of Irshava and the village of Dovhe were working on the elimination of the fire. Due to the fact that the temple was entirely built of wood, the fire was spreading quickly, but firefighters contained the fire at 01:45
