On August 14-16, the 5th Jubilee Festival of Honey "Honey Savior" will be held in Uzhgorod. Traditionally, the celebration will take place on Nezalezhnist embankment.
The "Honey Savior" is organized by the Association of Beekeepers of Transcarpathia and the Creative Union "Mask", supported by the City Council of Uzhgorod and the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.
The organizers promise usual for regional festivals performances of folk groups from around the region, contests and games, and interesting new products.
The "king" of the festival will be a transparent glass hive, where you will be able to see how bees live, work, interact and make honey.
The highlight of this year’s "Honey Savior" will be honey brew.
Overall, the region will be represented by about two dozen honey-makers and beekeepers.
"Prices of honey products, propolis will be slightly higher than last year, but now it is difficult to say how much. On the first day of the festival, the producers will be exhibiting their products, showing off this year’s harvest. On August 15 at 14 o’clock, there will be the official opening and consecration of honey. Since it is Maccabeus, we invited clergy of the region. And on the third and the last day, there will be a cultural program, concerts and competitions," – the Chairman of the Beekeepers Association of Transcarpathia Volodymyr Lyakhov told the 7dniv.info.
