The exhibition of Transcarpathian Paneyko opens in Kiev

This spring, original Uzhgorod artist Igor Paneyko celebrated his 55th birthday. A famous art expert Gleb Vysheslavsky classifies his works as the New wave of Ukrainian art.

A personal exhibition of the uzhgorod citizen is opening on Tuesday, May 15 at 6.00 p.m. in Kiev gallery «AVS - art» (Vozdvyzhenska Street, 10-b). There will be exhibited his 33 recent works. The exhibition will last three weeks.

Igor Paneyko belongs to those artists who are extremely wary of publicity. Therefore, each of his exhibitions is a remarkable event. Last time the Transcarpathian artist exhibited in Kiev was a few years ago.

Maria Paneyko  21/05/2016 9:28 pm

After my father's Pierre Paneyko's death on January 3rd I have been collecting his diaries and family information. For many years he's asked me to write about our ukranian origins. My grandfather, Basil Paneyko, brethers, Georges and Alewander, sister, Maria ... The last information I have of possible family members still in ukrania come from Liev ... Would it be possible to ask Mr; Paneyko if he's willing to contact me ?
Many thanks
