Under the order of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Arakov, 49-year-old police colonel Serhiy Sharanych was appointed the Chief of the Police in Transcarpathian region.
Uzhgorod.net contacted Serhiy Sharanych by phone. The publication writes that he was right on his way from Kyiv to his native Transcarpathia, they asked about the first plans of the new head of Transcarpathian police.
Quotes of Serhiy Sharanych.
"One of the first things I want to do in Transcarpathian region is to reformat, reboot the Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs Office. It must be a real advisory body, which will include real (I stress this word!) patriots of Transcarpathia and Ukraine. You can tell your readers, journalists, civil society activists to send their proposals for candidates to this council" – the police chief of the region suggested.
Serhiy Sharanych said: "I am ready to hear everyone and guarantee an impartial work of the police under my management. And we really have a lot of work. By the way, I’ve never run away from work and not running away from it now. I am perfectly aware of the events taking place in the East and in the West of our country. I have confidence in the police of Transcarpathia, confident in the staff. Together we will overcome all temporary difficulties, restore confidence of Transcarpathians in the men in uniform."
In turn, uzhgorod.in promises to assist Transcarpathian police in general, and its new head Serhiy Sharanych in the fullest and highest quality journalistic and public control.
