New hockey season has started in Transcarpathia

On Saturday, December 7, Uzhgorod ice rink "Ice Land" hosted the Hockey Cup of Transcarpathia in 2019. All the matches were interesting and exciting from the start till the final whistle. 
Traditionally, four teams take part in the regional competition: Synevyr, Spartak, Uzhgorod Wolves and Shakhta Leopards. According to the rules of the Cup of the region, each team played three matches. The winner of the tournament was the team that won the most matches.
This year, it was a serious competition for the trophy between the current champion (Uzhgorod Wolves) and the silver medalist (Shakhta Leopards) of the 2018/19 season Championship of Transcarpathia.
Following the two rounds, Uzhgorod Wolves and Shakhta Leopards had two wins, so the fate of gold medals was decided in their match. Everything was decided by one goal scored by Uzhgorod Wolves.
Thus, Uzhgorod Wolves won the Cup of Transcarpathia. Shakhta Leopards finished second, and Synevyr, that defeated Spartak in the final game of the tournament, finished third.
