New head of the Transcarpathian customs promises to fight smuggling and corruption (PHOTOS)

The first briefing of the new Acting Head of the Transcarpathian Customs Vasyl Poyizd took place on July 11, the Mukachevo.net reported.

As you know, after Zelensky’s visit to Transcarpathia, the Acting Head of the SFS of Ukraine Oleksandr Vlasov dismissed the Chief Customs Officer of Transcarpathia. His duties were assigned to Vasyl Poyizd.

During the first briefing, Vasyl Poyizd stated that the fight against smuggling and corruption will be his priority. He promised to carefully monitor the proper performance of duties by customs officials.

Another one of its priorities will be infrastructure development, installation of scanners, construction of access roads and reconstruction of customs checkpoints.

Recall that on Saturday, July 6, Volodymyr Zelensky at the checkpoint "Uzhgorod" held a meeting with customs officials of the Western region and introduced the new head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

He also gave the Chief Customs Officer of Transcarpathia two days to resign.
