Illegal transportation of medical masks across the border was prevented today by military personnel of the border guard department "Dyula" of the Mukachevo detachment.
Border guards received information about possible illegal activities at the border from officers of the internal security department in advance.
At about 1 am, border guards patrolling the border found five plastic bags within a few dozen meters from the border. They contained disposable medical masks. In total, the "enterprising" offenders planned to move 3650 pieces of such products to neighboring Romania.
The "couriers" themselves are most likely to have escaped by a motorcycle, as indicated by tracks left on the ground.
