Nearly 3,000 packs of cigarettes and a car were confiscated at the “Tisa”

Our compatriot failed to illegally carry nearly six boxes of cigarettes across the border at the checkpoint "Tisa".

A car "Volkswagen Passat" registered in Ukraine and driven by a citizen of Ukraine, was heading to Hungary via the checkpoint "Tisa". However, upon arrival at the border and customs control, border guards immediately sent it for the in-depth inspection. The fact is that the border guards were informed in advance about the possible transportation of goods across the border in violation of applicable law, so they were expecting the arrival of the vehicle at the border crossing.In the course of these measures, they found in the car three hiding places filled with cigarettes. Overall, in the recesses, arranged under the rear seat, near the gearbox and in the luggage compartment, they found 2866 packs of "Chesterfield" with Ukrainian tax stamps.Cigarettes and the car were seized in the prescribed order and estimated at nearly 114,000 UAH.
