Nearly 21,000 packs of contraband cigarettes were seized at the checkpoint “Dyakovo”

Border guards of the Mukachevo detachment together with customs officers found another batch of hidden tobacco products. A 33-year-old citizen of Ukraine, who had arrived at the crossing point by a truck DAF, tried to smuggle cigarettes to Romania. Border guards found the contraband tobacco in the ceiling void of the trailer. 20,800 packs of cigarettes were hidden in the truck that was carrying pallets from Ukraine to Romania. The cigarettes and the trailer were seized from the Ukrainian.
