Yesterday, August 15, at about 17.40, the police of Vynogradiv district was reported that in the village of Pidvynogradiv, a car had hit a child riding a bicycle. 
The investigative team arrived at the scene. The police found out that a 53-year-old resident of the village of Botar in Vynogradiv district, driving a car "Volkswagen Passat" with a foreign registration, had hit a 14-year-old boy from Vynogradiv who was riding a bicycle in the opposite direction and had made a left turn.

The ambulance took the victim to the district hospital. The boy is in the intensive care unit in serious condition.

The criminal proceeding under Part 1 of Art.286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules) has been opened over this fact. According to preliminary information, the driver was sober. The car was taken to the impound lot of ​​the Vynogradiv police department. The circumstances of the tragic accident will be established by the investigators.
