NBU will change the assessment of bank credit risks on April 1

The National Bank will change the approach to assessing bank credit risk.

This was announced by the first deputy head of the NBU Oleksandr Pisaruk, the press service of the NBU reported.

"Yesterday we sent a new draft Regulations for assessment of credit risk. We have had many internal discussions involving international consultants. We have managed to create a document that meets international standards. We plan to enact the said Regulations on April 1, ie we have about half a year of transition period" – Mr. Pisaruk said.

In addition, the NBU reported that in connection with the entry into force of the new Regulations, the terms of diagnostics of the next twenty banks, which previously was planned to be held on October 1, will be moved.
