NBU expects over 19 billion investment in Ukraine

The National Bank of Ukraine expects the international financial institutions to invest more than 19 billion dollars into projects in Ukraine.

This was announced by the nead of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeria Gontareva after the official visit of the Ukrainian delegation to Washington, the UNIAN reported.

Recall that the IMF Managing Director Christine Lagarde noted that the stabilization of the economy of Ukraine required additional external funding beyond the program of the cooperation with the IMF.

Analysts of the Fund predict that if the hostilities continue, Ukraine will need external financing in the amount of at least 19 billion dollars by the end of 2015.

The head of the NBU said that in Washington the Ukrainian delegation, which she headed, had received an unprecedented support from all international organizations and investors.

"If geopolitical risks associated with Ukraine threaten the economic development of the entire world, everyone understands what devastating consequences it has for the Ukrainian economy. I have never seen such unprecedented support as we have received from around the world," – she said.
