The NBU allowed commercial banks to create mobile units to ensure uninterrupted meeting of urgent financial needs of military units, businesses and the public.
This is stated in the resolution of the NBU № 798 dated December 8, 2014.
"If the operation of separate units of banks in normal mode is impossible or unsafe, the bank, in order to ensure uninterrupted meeting of urgent financial needs of military units, businesses and public in some areas, may organize mobile units in the structure of the bank (branch)" – the resolution states.
As reported, the National Bank allowed its regional branches to destroy cash if it is impossible to take it out.
