The National Bank banned since September 23 payments in foreign currency for import operations without importation of goods into the territory of Ukraine.
This is stated in the regulation of the regulator dd. September 22 №591, the text of which is available to the UNIAN.
In addition, the NBU has banned foreign currency payments for import contracts under which the goods have been imported into the territory of Ukraine and passed customs clearance under import declaration, if the date of execution of this declaration is more than 180 days.
Also it is prohibited to return funds of foreign investors from the sale of securities of Ukrainian issuers outside of stock exchanges, except for government bonds of Ukraine.
It is prohibited to return abroad funds of foreign investors from the sale of corporate rights of legal entities not supported by shares and to return abroad dividends of foreign investors, other than dividends on securities traded on stock exchanges.
In addition, the regulator banned the foreign exchange transactions on the basis of its individual licenses, except for placing monetary values by entities on accounts outside Ukraine.
The Regulation shall enter into force on September 23.
