Mykola Zhuravlev denies revenge motive in delivery of calls to artists of the Drama Theater

As Uzhgorod.in reported, this morning, 16 artists of the Transcarpathian Drama Theater received calls to the recruitment office. Before that, Uzhgorod garrison military prosecutors accused the director of the theater Vasyl Mariukhnych of demanding a bribe in amount of two thousand hryvnia from the city Military Commissar Mykola Zhuravlev for holding a charity concert for the ATO participants.

The media suggested that the delivery of calls to the theater artists was an act of retaliation by the Military Commissariat.

As Mykola Zhuravlev told the Uzhgorod.in, the artists were served not calls but invitations to medical examination. This does not mean an automatic draft to the army, so this information is incorrect. Moreover, such invitations were delivered to other organizations too, the Commissar convinces.
