On Tuesday, April 9, the regular annual general meeting of the European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation with limited liability TYSA took place in the Hungarian city of Kisvarda.
During the meeting, the participants heard a report from the Director Andrea Sabone Tsap about the activities of the Grouping between the general meetings, approved the annual and balance reports for 2018.
With regard to activities for 2019, it was stated that the focus would be on implementing projects submitted by the Grouping for the announced competitions of the Cross-Border Cooperation Program of the European Neighborhood Instrument "Hungary-Slovakia-Romania-Ukraine 2014-2020" (ENI). The EGTC TYSA is the main partner in two such projects. Oscar Shestak noted that both border regions were active, especially in the context of the participation of the regions and the EGTC TYSA in the implementation of grant projects. He thanked for close cooperation and fruitful work.
For his part, Mykhailo Rivis, the chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional Council, noted the active mutually beneficial cooperation of the parties, thanked for the help of our region, which is provided first of all within the framework of the EGTC activities. Regarding the announced competitions of the ENI Program, Mykhailo Rivis said that the priorities of the first competition for large infrastructure projects as well as the six priorities of the second competition are completely in line with the problems that exist in all sectors of the economy in Transcarpathia.
So, the EGTC TYSA submitted a number of projects that were supported by the Monitoring Committee of the Program.
The EGTC TYSA turned out to be a successful competitor. Both projects: ZeroWaste "Tisa waste management cooperation", which involves the construction of a landfill for solid household waste and a waste sorting plant in the village of Yanoshi in Beregovo district (total amount of 5 million euro), as well as the project "Environmental assessment of the possibilities of restoring natural resources in Solotvyno to prevent further pollution of the Upper Tisa basin through the development of the comprehensive monitoring system of REVITAL 1" (total amount of about 1 million euro) are particularly for Transcarpathia. The preparations for signing grant agreements are underway.
