Mukachevo police officers violated the civil rights

Mukachevo prosecutors have inspected Mukachevo city police department and revealed that policemen committed violations of administrative law.

Particularly, they execute protocols on administrative violations improperly, do not observe the terms and procedure for fulfillment of decisions on imposing of fines and referring of such decisions to the state bailiffs’ service.    

Also they revealed violations of the constitutional right of citizens to protection, scince while bringing them to justice police officers often fail to explain them the provisions of Art. 63 of the Constitution of Ukraine. A gross violation of the constitutional right of the citizen commited by an operative of the sector to combat drug trafficking of the Mukachevo city police department was revealed.  The operative conducted a personal inspection of the offender without witnesses and did not specify the time and place of the administrative proceedings. 

Following the inspections, prosecution of Mukachevo made orders to eliminate detected violations to the head of Mukachevo city police department and to bring the guilty officials to disciplinary action, which is currently pending.
