The decision was adopted at the session of the City Council. This decision was suggested to the mayor by NGOs and activists. The ban concerns circuses, the programs of which include animal perfomances, in order to protect animals from suffering and death due to abuse.
The decision of Mukachevo City Council prohibits perfomances of traveling circuses with animals without relevant permits or if housing conditions do not meet the animals’ biological, species and individual needs.
