Deputies of the Transcarpathian Regional Council gathered for an extraordinary session to consider and vote for really important – politically, economically and socially – documents.
At first, there were only three issues on the agenda. Deputies plan to consider an appeal to the highest state authorities asking to finance compensation for the transportation of privileged persons and vocational education establishments. And also, an appeal demanding to take sanctions against Russian business in Ukraine initiated by the coordinators of the "Bear blockade".
The most talked about issue was that on vocational schools. As always, there were some trademark "gems" of the head of the RSA Moskal. several times the audience laughed at his words. "Set fire to the mattress – let fleas burn!" is just one of those…
Then, while discussing the topic of banning the business of the aggressor country, Mr. Moskal reported that he had already started fighting with signs of the "Sberbank of Russia". He said that he had ordered to remove one of the words on the signs. The ATO participants present at the meeting reacted to the "radical step" somewhat skeptically.
Having voted for those appeals, the deputies and considered two more appeals. One was about the release of Nadiya Savchenko.
Another one is very important for many Transcarpathians: demanding to regulate the issue of cars with foreign registration.
In general, the Regional Council showed unprecedented harmony: just with a few shouts (mostly from Moskal), they voted almost unanimously. Out of 46 deputies, at least 44 and sometimes all together would vote "for" the proposed documents.
And on March 17, they will meet to vote for the "work issues", including the budget and other issues related to day-to-day affairs in the region. See faces and moments of the somewhat unusual – extraordinary – session in the photos.
