Morning missile strike: air defense shot down enemy missiles over Zakarpattia

This morning, during an enemy missile attack, several enemy missiles were shot down over Zakarpattia.

Initially, it was reported that one of the missiles was shot down by the fighters of the 650th Separate Anti-Aircraft Machine Gun Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at the border of Zakarpattia and Lviv regions. According to the information, they destroyed a Kh-101 cruise missile heading towards our region. However, former spokesperson for the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ihnat, later clarified that the missile was shot down by an air defense missile system, not by machine gunners of the local anti-aircraft battalion.

Additionally, media reports indicate that another missile was also shot down by air defense forces.

As of 10:00 AM, the air raid alert has been ongoing for 4 hours.
