More than three million hryvnias to the budget: Petrov reported on customs clearance of goods at the checkpoint “Tisa”

UAH 3,745,000 was paid for customs clearance of goods at the checkpoint "Tisa" in three days. A total of 333 vehicles were cleared.

This was announced by the head of Transcarpathia Oleksiy Petrov.

Due to the relaxation of quarantine restrictions, especially in Europe, the number of minibuses at the border has increased. One driver carries an average of 30-40 parcels – a batch of goods that need to be cleared through customs. The cost and weight of such cargo is above the allowable limit and it can not be imported without paying taxes. Customs clearance rate is 10% of the value of the goods – duty, plus 20% VAT.

Accordingly, taxes on branded items are higher.

"There are, of course, drivers who try to import branded items under the guise of parcels from people working abroad. But! Customs officers and border guards conduct a detailed inspection of goods and do not allow violations of customs rules," – Oleksiy Petrov said.
