More than 9,000 doses of the vaccine have been delivered to the region. In total, there are 11,857 doses available, while the year demand of 76,585 doses, ie the shortage is 85%.
This was reported by the Deputy Director of the Department of Health of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Tetyana Mitsyo.
– In February 2018, we received two thousand doses of measles vaccine from the Ministry of Health, and another 9,010 doses recently. In addition, 8,000 doses of the drug was provided to the region as a humanitarian aid by Hungary. As of March 3, the remainder of the vaccine was 11,857 doses. I should note that the vaccine received from the state was purchased at the expense of the funds provided for 2016. Transcarpathian region has not yet received any vaccines provided for 2017…, – Mitsyo.
As noted by the Department of Health of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, every week an average of about 1,500 doses of vaccine are used for measles vaccination in the region. Accordingly, the available vaccines will last for less than 2 months.
