More than 500: during the past 24hrs, Transcarpathian customs officers have cleared a record number of cars with foreign registration

During the past 24hrs, 500 vehicles with a foreign registration have been cleared at the customs posts of the Transcarpathian Customs. Since November 25, 2018, after the introduction of changes in the tax and customs legislation, as of February 14, 2019, 11,786 vehicles have been cleared at the Transcarpathian Customs. This brought to the state budget over UAH 734 million in revenues. The average customs value of such cars is 3,600 U.S. dollars

We remind you that the validity period of the transitional provisions of the Tax Code of Ukraine regarding the taxation of motor vehicles at 0.5 coefficient expires at 24:00 on February 22, 2019.

As of 00:00 on February 23, 2019, the excise tax will be charged in full.

The Transcarpathian Customs informs that citizens will be able to have a vehicle cleared at 0.5 coefficient for excise tax, if an electronic customs declaration for registration of the vehicle has been filed and accepted by the customs by February 22 (inclusive).
