During the Carpathian Days of Neighborliness of Transcarpathia and Podkarpackie Voivodeship of Poland, a temporary pedestrian and bicycle crossing point "Lubnya – Wolosate" was open on the Ukrainian-Polish border from August 8 to August 10.
During this time, 1617 citizens took advantage of the opportunity to get to the neighboring country (818 traveled to Ukraine and 799 traveled to Poland). Interestingly, the number of Polish citizens was twice as high as the number of Ukrainian citizens. Polish citizens entered Ukraine 505 times and returned home 482 times. The Ukrainians crossed the border 297 and 284 times, respectively.
Among those, who crossed the border at the temporary checkpoint "Lubnya – wolosate", there were also citizens of Germany, USA, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Norway, Russia, Sweden, Romania and Hungary, the press service of Transcarpathian Regional State Administration reported.
