The monument to the president of Carpatho-Ukraine Augustin Voloshin will be established in the center of Mizhhirya. In Uzhgorod, the monument to this outstanding figure was set on Nezalezhnist embankment in 2003 (created by sculptor Mykhailo Mykhailyuk).
The author of the Mizhhirya monument is Transcarpathian sculptor Mykhailo Belen, and it was ordered by the rector of the Theological Academy Victor Bed.
The prominent religious figure and statesman was born in Kelechyn (Mizhhirya district), and one of the schools in the regional center is named after him. In connection with this, they plan to install bas reliefs in these places, as a sign of respect for the outstanding cultural and educational leader.
