The Ministry of Health intends to buy additional 11 "emergency" vehicles for the 8 million hryvnias saved after the tender. The first delivery is scheduled for December.
This was reported by the head of the department of state target programs of public procurement of the MOH Halyna Dovhanchyn, the "Ekonomichna Pravda", referring to "Interfax-Ukraine", reported.
"For the saved 8,000,000 UAH, we can purchase additional 11 vehicles of different types. By the end of the year, we expect to purchase in total 1,423 thousand ambulance vehicles – Dovhanchyn said.
She reminded that following the tender, the MOH purchased 1,209 thousand ambulances: 143 vehicles of type C, 1,063 thousand vehicles of type B, 103 vehicles of type A.
Also she said that the procedure opening of offers for the purchase of another 103 vehicles of type A will take place on December 5th.
It was reported that the Ministry of Health planned to purchase 1,412 thousand vehicles for a total of 922 million hryvnias.
In addition, Dovhanchyn reported that on November 18 they plan to sign contracts with the tender winners.
In turn, the Director of Reform and Development of Medical Care Department of the Ministry of Health, Mykola Khobzey noted that the vehicles would be distributed among the regions in strict accordance with the stated needs: they took into account the population and the availabilty of ambulances with up to five years of operation in regions.
According to the official, under the standard, one ambulance shall be provided for 10,000 people.
"In Ukraine, 4,600 thousand ambulances for 46 million people are needed" – Khobzey said.
