MOE organizes social patrolling in Transcarpathia

On the order of the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine in the period from December 30, 2012 to January 8, 2013 there will be organized an around the clock patrolling by the social workers of the Civil Service of Ukraine for Emergencies, social services and health professionals.
The main goal of social patrols is preventing deaths from hypothermia.
In the region there will be periodic patrols in areas with the highest probability of finding people who may need help. When receiving a call, they will provide aid to victims and then deliver them to the nearest warming station or hospital.
Social work patrols will take place under the supervision of regular working groups of regional operations staff in conjunction with social services, the police, the regional organization of the Red Cross, NGOs, according to a network of warming stations, hospitals and social institutions for socially vulnerable people, informed TD of MOE in Transcarpathian region.
