Mizhhirya dictrict may become a tourist mecca for movie fans (PHOTOS)

We have already reported that the shooting of the historical action film "Zakhar Berkut" has begun in Mizhhirya district.

This event was commented on the Facebook page of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration.

– Recently, Transcarpathia, namely the Lake Synevyr in Mizhhirya district, was visited by the famous French actor Jean Reno. The purpose of the visit was the shooting of a Ukrainian-French action thriller "The Last Step", in which the actor played the main role and which was the last work in his acting career. 
 And now, another Hollywood star has come to us! Actor Robert Patrick, known to the fans for his role in the movie "Terminator 2", where he played the liquid metal robot T-1000, shared pictures from the largest lake of the Ukrainian Carpathians – Synevyr! And the purpose of the visit is filmmaking again! This time, it’s the historical film "Zakhar Berkut" based on the story by Ivan Franko.
 It’s a chance for the development of the new kind of tourism in Transcarpathia and Ukraine in general – movie tourism! 
We hope that Transcarpathian region will catch the attention of other directors and become a real movie Mecca. After all, we have a lot of places that both Ukrainian and foreign cinema lovers would want to see!
