Members of the regional council appealed to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine with a request to transfer the property of regional agricultural companies and former military camps in Uzhgorod from the state ownership to the ownership of Transcarpathians. The response from Kyiv was as follows: our region will receive neither the former nor the latter, the Stary Zamok informed.
Thus, the property of agricultural companies can not be transferred to the balance sheet of the region, because prior to that it must be at least twice offered by the state for sale. And since this has not been done, there is no legal grounds for the transfer of objects, the letter from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine states.
As for the former military camps in Uzhgorod – on Gagarin and Drugets streets – the deputies in their appeal pointed out that it was necessary to solve the housing problems of the residents of the region. In the letter from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, they informed that the military would sell those camps themselves in order to subsequently purchase apartments for officers.
